Academy Of Direct Democracy (ADD) is a new organization created only at the beginning of May, whose founders aimed to develop civil society in Ukraine, to overcome the obstacles on the Ukrainian way to the democracy. Activities finally abolished in September 2007.

Academy Of Direct Democracy is a nongovernmental organization that cares about the implementation into life the main principles of direct democracy as contra to the representative democracy and participation democracy. In modern societies people don’t make decisions considering their most vital needs – that’s the prerogative of the modern democracies. ADD would try and change that. We aim to break the numerous bureaucratic nets, which hunt for people in modern states.

Academy Of Direct Democracy claims to be the civil society’s super conductive body.

Everyone wants to gain more power and be dependent on someone else to the lesser extent it’s possible. But that’s impossible as interests of one individual are often contradictory to the other one leaving out the interests of the group as the whole, which differ from interests of each individual participating in the group because the main aim for the group as the whole is to sustain itself and continue its existence. For the solving of this problem the social institutes appeared. They regulated the correlation between various human interests, needs and intentions. Everyone delegated a part of her own sovereignty to these institutes to gain safety from other individuals fulfilling their interests on their part. That provided stability.

To solve the problems of human interaction and correlation of their interests and thus intentions were the officials elected by the people. They are to represent the interests of the people who elected them. But that’s not what they always manage to do. Today in Ukraine we can easily announce the inability of the people in power to fairly fulfil the interest of every small Ukrainian. The people’s representatives need our help. We who elected them should help them understand the primarily importance of their duties to correlate our interests and fulfil our needs. To effectively perform their duties officials need our advice, especially considering their mistakes and the way to correct and afterwards to avoid them. That’s why we ought to talk about our problems and needs so that the officials would know the results of their work, would see the reflection on their endless repetitive duties and see the use of their work in the end. ADD wants to improve the connection between the people who delegated their right to make decisions on their own to the people in power.

will show to the Ukrainian people the structure of our bureaucratic state management system in close;
will explain the functions of each part of Ukrainian bureaucratic state management system according to the national law;
will show what actually this system performs and how that correlates with its duties according to the national law;
will propose the way to reform the structure of Ukrainian bureaucratic state management system in order to make it more effective.

Direct Democracy is the ideology that considers participation of all citizens in the decision-making process. Everyone who is enabled to vote by the law makes own decision and the decision that gets the most number of supporters wins. That is direct democracy as we understand it: the power of the people – demos. Directly from person to action, no mediators. Being the reasonable individuals we understand the impossibility of implementing in today real life the principle of direct democracy and forcing the states to except the direct democracy as the state ideology. We still believe in the possibility to find new ways of realizing direct democracy and strive to gring people together around these new principles.

EVERYWHERE, the people of planet Earth are angry, frustrated, and disappointed with their political systems, for dictators are still tyrants, and so-called democracies are undeniably and clearly undemocratic. Politics still favors the powerful, and political parties are not only filled with incompetent opportunists, but in this highly technological world they are obsolete.

Earth, people are weary of forked-tongued politicians, greedy, uncaring businessmen, and the continuous wars they initiate. Everywhere, people seek new ways to govern their societies; ways that would be more honest and just, promising a better and safer future for themselves and their children. They seek — and they are finding — new ways that do promise a better and safer future. Among these pioneers, the overwhelming consensus is that, of all these new ways, "Participatory" Democracy, also known as "Direct" Democracy, is the most promising path to that better future.
